Huttons Kitchens Woodbridge Stages 11th October 2008.
Overall - 47th Class - 9th
This was MRC Motorsports first event in their new 106 Cup Car and it did not really go to plan!!
The
first stage passed without incident with the car running well and the
crew adapting to the new car well, but half way around the second stage
they turned to early into a flat in 5th left with a small tree on the
inside. This unfortunatly bent the steering arm and tore the driveshaft
apart which meant thet the crew could not finish the stage and had to
await the tow vehicle to get back to service. They had to miss the
next stage due to fixing the car but managed to get back out for stage
four taking a steady run to make sure that the car was ok. In missing a
stage and a half they incurred time penalties which cost them around 18
minutes and meant any decent result was out of the question. The
remaining stages passed without incident and the times improved
throughout the day so overall a good result. The car ran perfectly all
day and the crew extends its thanks to the service crew and all who
helped to get the car back out so quickly.
